New International Food Academy

Målet med Højskoleprojekt Lolland-Falster at rejse en international madhøjskole på Lolland-Falster med stærkt fokus på fødevarer fra det landbrugsfaglige til det gastronomiske - og med  potentiale for at udfolde en bredere bæredygtig profil ved at søge synergierne mellem fødevare-, natur- og samfundsvidenskaberne. En højskole, der skal kendetegnes ved sin evne til at kombinere et højt, akademisk vidensniveau og stor praksisnærhed, der  skaber engagement og virkelyst. Højskolen skal være et referencepunkt for hvordan vi med opfindsomhed og nysgerrighed kan give os i kast med vores samtids udfordringer både lokalt, nationalt og internationalt.

The goal for Højskoleprojekt Lolland-Falster is to establish an international food academy in Lolland-Falster, which have a strong focus on food from agriculture to gastronomy -  and has the potential to work within a broader sustainability framework in seeking the synergy between food, social and natural sciences. A food academy within the folk high school tradition and  known for combining a high academic level with practice and craftsmanship to stimulate peoples commitment and enthusiasm. This  school will become a point of reference for how we with ingenuity and curiosity meets the challenges of our time head on.

Food Unfolded
A one-week summer academy which unfolds our relation to food from different perspectives, e.g. political, sensouos, historical and social

A one-week food academy at Hotel Saxkjøbing in cooperation with Sakskøbing Madskole, Meyers Madhus and Hotel Saxkjøbing
